The College of Dentistry organized the preliminary competition for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh International Dental Skills Competition, at Phantom Head Lab 2. This event focused on evaluating students' crown preparation skills and identifying the top performers to represent the University at the prestigious international competition, set to take place at Ajman University on February 7, 2025.

The competition attracted significant interest, with 29 students registering and 20 actively participating.  It provided a unique opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills in front of a distinguished panel of judges, including Dr. Ahmad Al Jaghsi, Dr. Muhammad Fareed, and Dr. Tareq. Each participant's crown preparation techniques were carefully assessed in a thorough and impartial evaluation process. Yazan Wadi, Habiba Ahmed Abdelsalam, and Dania Al-Qudsi were selected to represent the university in the final competition. This event marks a significant opportunity for our students to compete alongside peers from dental colleges across the UAE and showcase their abilities on an esteemed international stage.

The competition, organized by Dr. Huda Abutayyem, International Dental Ambassador – UAE, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, with support from Dr. Vijay Desai and Dr. Jeny George, was held under the esteemed guidance of Dean Dr. Salem Abufanas.
